Games start this week and I could not be more excited! Don't get me wrong, I love practicing, but there is nothing like the feeling of playing in a game.
Last week was a great week of practices. Umpires were able to come each day in order to create game-like situations. This helps to make our practices more realistic. Our hitters are looking really good! They are making our pitchers work really hard to get them out and that is great to see!! Our pitchers are handling the pressure very well I might add. They are looking really sharp. It will be an exciting year!
On Saturday we attended the men's basketball game against Texas and were introduced at halftime. It was a great opportunity for us to let people know that softball season is about to begin. Hopefully some of those people will come out and give us the fan support that have so graciously given the other sports. Attendance for Texas A&M athletics, especially women's athletics, has gone way up this year! We hope that will continue through softball. There is nothing like playing in front of Aggie Fans!!
Our home opener is on Wednesday at 5 p.m. against North Texas. Then we head to S.F.A. on Sunday for a doubleheader. It will be a great week of Aggie Softball, so come out on Wednesday and see us Beat the Hell out of North Texas!
