I want to say it's good to be back in Texas but the weather was so nice in Arizona I didn't want to leave. It was warm, sunny and best of all....not raining!
I must say the Arizona Tournament is my favorite tournament of the year. We always face great teams AND we get to go to Morgan's house for a team dinner. Our parents get to go too, so we get to visit and eat, which is our two favorite things to do. Gene and Lisa (Morgan's parents) fixed a ton of fajitas and mexican casserole. It was HEAVEN!! The best thing though was getting to make s'mores. That was a big hit!
The tournament went pretty well. We didn't do as well as we had hoped, but it was a great experience for our team. We played some tough teams and we competed with every one of them. We ended up winning two games and losing three, but we came away with many positives. Overall, it was a very productive weekend for us.
This week will be a great week for Aggie Softball. Our games that were cancelled last Wednesday were rescheduled for this Wednesday, so we play the University of Houston on Wednesday at 3 and 5 p.m. On Friday we play our first games of the Aggie Invitational. We play two games on Friday, two games on Saturday, and one game on Sunday. It should be an awesome weekend!!
