No. 14 Texas A&M will put its perfect 7-0 record on the line this Tuesday, Feb. 24, when they host Texas-San Antonio at 7 p.m. at Olsen Field.
The national polls are taking notice of the Aggies' hot start as A&M made the highest jump in the Collegiate Baseball survey - from No. 30 to No. 14. A&M also moved up a spot in Baseball America's top 25 to No. 20.
The Aggies are fresh off a three-game sweep of South Alabama. After a pair of lopsided wins on Friday and Saturday, A&M scored four runs in the final four innings to win the series finale 4-3.
The Roadrunners enter the game with a record of 4-3 after winning two of three games from Army this past weekend.
Freshman right-hander Austin Creps will start on the mound for A&M and will be making his second appearance of the season. Creps made his collegiate debut in the Aggies' second game against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, throwing 2 2/3 innings without allowing a run and striking out two.
UTSA will counter with sophomore left-hander Jacob Sansom, who has allowed five runs on seven hits in 1 1/3 innings of work this season.
Texas A&M leads the all-time series, 10-7. Last season, the Aggies defeated the roadrunners, 8-5, at Olsen Field. UTSA returned the favor later in the year, besting A&M, 6-5, at Wolff Stadium in San Antonio.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the Texas A&M Athletic Ticket Office at (979) 845-2311 or (888) 99-AGGIE. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
