No. 13 Pacific defeated the Aggies 1-0 in the teams final game of pool play in the Kia Klassic. The Aggies fell to 18-13 overall and 1-2 in pool play. The Aggies will play again at 9 p.m. (CST) in the first round of bracket play. The opponent is yet to be determined.

"It is a great opportunity for us to be out here at the Kia Klassic," Head Coach Jo Evans said. "It is the premiere tournament of the season. Every win is a great win and every loss is a tough loss against a great team. It is great to be here. Our kids are playing hard. We start bracket play tonight and it doesn't matter who you play because you know they are going to be a ranked team and it is going to be a really competitive game."

Tiger pitcher Natalie King stymied the Aggies at the plate as she allowed no runs on only one hit while striking out four.

Aggie right hander Jessica Kapchinski held the Tigers hitless for three innings and but took the loss after giving up one run in the fourth. Kapchinski threw her second complete game of the tourney and fell to 4-3 on the season after walking one and striking out six batters.

Pacific first baseman Jennifer Curtier broke up Kapchinski's no-hitter, and the scoreless tie, in the fourth inning with a single up the middle that scored Ashlie D'Ericco from second.

Tournament information, as well as live stats, will be available throughout the weekend on AggieAthletics.com.
