The 10th-ranked Texas A&M baseball team will host No. 6 Rice this Tuesday, March 23, in a game being televised by Fox Sports Net Southwest. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The Aggies won three of five games last week to improve to 21-4 overall but dropped two games of a three-game set to Baylor to open Big 12 Conference play this past weekend.

Rice, the defending National Champions, won two games of a three-game series against Hawai'i at Reckling Park in Houston to improve to 16-6.

The Aggies hold a 172-80-2 all-time series advantage over the Owls but have lost four of the last five over the last three seasons.

Texas A&M freshman lefty Doug Frame will start on the mound for the Aggies and will be making his second start and fifth appearance of the season. The Tomball, Texas native does not have a decision this season and sports an ERA of 1.35 in 6.2 innings of work.

Rice will counter with left-hander Matt Ueckert. The junior from Houston will also be making his second start of the year. Ueckert has nine strikeouts and has allowed just two hits in 8.0 innings and has a perfect 0.00 ERA.

Texas A&M will honor the tremendous work of the field maintenance staff, in particular, Leo Goertz, who recently received the American Baseball Coaches Association/Turface Field Maintenance. Goertz will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.

Fans unable to attend the game can listen to Dave South and Will Johnson call the action on WTAW 1620-AM.

Greg Lucas and Larry Dierker will call the action on FOX Sports Net Southwest's telecast.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Texas A&M Athletic Ticket Office at (979) 845-2311 or (888) 99-AGGIE.
