Well spring break is over and it's back to the real world. I think every person on our team had at least one test this week. How is that for a welcome back?
Spring Break in California was a lot of fun. We arrived on Tuesday afternoon and had a short practice. We practiced again on Wednesday morning before our full day of fun. We headed for the Santa Anita horse track on Wednesday afternoon. Once we arrived we went on the Seasbiscuit tour where we were privileged enough to have Chris McCarron, a hall of fame jockey and vice president of Santa Anita, as our tour guide. It was a very neat experience! For those of us who didn't know much about horse racing, we sure learned a lot. After the tour we were allowed on a couple of races, if we were old enough. I was old enough but I am too much of a cheap skate to just throw my money away! And it is a good thing too, because every horse I picked to win was doing good to not get last place. It was bad!
On Wednesday night, Lindsay Park's family invited us over for dinner. It was so much fun to just relax and visit, and we had delicious food! The ice cream sundaes were definitely a hit! It was so nice of their family to invite us over and go out of their way to provide us with a great dinner. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Park and Laura!!
We started the tournament on Thursday. We played two games on Thursday, two games on Friday, and one game on Saturday. The tournament did not go as well as we had planned. Our record leaving Fullerton was 1-4. But the good thing is....that is behind us.
CONFERENCE STARTS THIS WEEK!! Whoop! We play OU on Saturday at 2 p.m and Sunday at 12 p.m. I love playing conference, I don't know what it is about it, but I love it. It will be a great weekend. Hopefully we will come out of it with two big conference wins!
Hope to see ya out there!
Adrian
