No. 15 Texas A&M will play Sam Houston State in baseball action this Tuesday, April 6, 2004. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Olsen Field.
The Aggies won two games from Sam Houston earlier this season and owns the all-time series lead, 72-35-1.
A&M went 3-2 last week, but lost two of three games from Big 12 foe Oklahoma State at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater. A&M enters the Tuesday game with an overall record of 26-8 and has a mark of 4-5 in league play.
Sam Houston - winners of seven of its last eight games - enters the contest with a record of 14-20-3 overall and are 6-3 in Southland Conference play. This past weekend, the Bearkats took two of three games from Nicholls State.
A&M head coach Mark Johnson will send freshman right-hander Austin Creps to the mound. The Klein, Texas, native will be making his first start of the season but the outing will be his 10th appearance overall. Creps has a record of 1-0 and an ERA of 2.61. He has fanned 18 hitters and walked eight in 20.2 innings of work.
