The Texas A&M softball team (22-16, 4-1) will take on the University of Texas (18-14, 0-4) on Wednesday at McCombs field in Austin. First pitch is slated for 6:30 p.m.
The Aggies and Longhorns have played in some tight battles as one run has decided seven of their 18 games. The Longhorns hold an 11-7 all-time record against the Aggies.
A&M is coming off of a sweep of Iowa State in Ames last weekend and looks to build on their strong conference start. The Aggies are currently third in the conference after opening league play with a two-game sweep of then No. 9 Oklahoma before dropping a midweek game to No. 19 Baylor.
The Longhorns have been swept in both weekends of conference play this season as they lost two to Missouri on opening weekend and dropped two to No. 13 Oklahoma in Norman this past weekend.
