The Aggie football team worked in full pads for a little over two hours on Tuesday at the grass practice fields.

Coach Fran expressed pleasure in the work habits of the redshirt freshmen.

"I feel like the young players have elevated the play of our older guys and that has made us better," Coach Fran said. "These redshirt freshmen have a special energy and enthusiasm and they want to make an impact this year."

Several redshirt freshmen have rotated in with both the first team offense and defense.

Fran mentioned the play of wide receivers Terrence Murphy and Terrence Thomas.

"Terrence Thomas is improved," Fran said. "He has a comfort and an understanding of what's going on. Terrence Murphy is a key guy and we have to get the football in his hands. We move him around in different formations so that we can get him the ball."

The Aggies are off on Wednesday and will scrimmage on Thursday at approximately 3:30 p.m. at Kyle Field.
