The No. 15 Texas A&M baseball team will play a three-game series against Kansas at Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence. The Aggies have an overall record of 27-8 and a mark of 4-5 in Big 12 play. Texas A&M has played three Big 12 series, winning the set over Texas Tech and dropping series to Baylor and Oklahoma State. Kansas enters the weekend with a record of 23-14-1 overall. The Jayhawks are 1-5 in league play, losing two of three games to Nebraska and suffering a sweep to Oklahoma last weekend at home.

  • A&M head coach Mark Johnson has an all-time record of 19-3 against Kansas.
  • Prior to the start of the Big 12 and since the start of the Mark Johnson era, the Aggies and Jayhawks faced each other once. The matchup was in the opening game of the 1993 College World Series in Omaha, Neb. The Aggies won the game 5-1.
  • Last season the Aggies swept Kansas in a three-game series at Olsen Field. Two of the games were one-run affairs.
  • The Aggies have all seven of the Big 12 series between the two schools. Four of the seven series have resulted in sweeps by the Aggies, but only one of the sweeps came in Lawrence.
  • Texas A&M and Kansas have never met in the Big 12 Tournament.
