Prior to the start of the Big 12 Conference in 1997, the Aggies and Tigers faced each other six times while Johnson was the head coach. In 1988 and 1990, Missouri visited Olsen Field. Texas A&M swept both three-game series from the Tigers.
  • Texas A&M has won four of the seven series played between the two schools since the Big 12 started in 1997. Five of the series wins between the two schools have been won by the visiting team. In fact, the home team in this series has a record of 9-12.
  • Missouri punched out the only sweep between the two schools in Big 12 play when they won all three games against the Aggies at Olsen Field in 2000.
  • Last season, Texas A&M won two of three games from Missouri in Columbia. A&M won the opener, 6-1, before dropping Saturday's game, 7-6. In the rubber match on Sunday, Cory Patton hit two home runs and had five RBI to lead the Aggies to a 9-8 win.
