The 23rd-ranked Texas A&M softball team has clinched the second seed in this week's Big 12 Tournament, set for May 12-15 at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

The Aggies finished the regular season at 31-18 overall and 13-3 in the Big 12. A&M's 13 league wins and second-place finish are program bests.

Texas A&M will play at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12 against the winner of the No. 7 Kansas vs. No. 10 Texas Tech game, which begins at 5 p.m.

A win will pit the Aggies against either No. 3 Missouri or No. 6 Oklahoma State on Thursday at 8 p.m., while a loss will mean A&M will face the Tigers or Cowgirls in an elimination game on Thursday at 2 p.m.

Nebraska will enter the Big 12 Tournament No. 1 seed and will face the winner of the Texas-Iowa State game at 7:30 p.m. No. 8 UT and No. 9 ISU and the No. 7 Kansas vs. No. 10 Texas Tech kick off the tournament in elimination contests at 5 p.m. on May 12. The winners of those two contests join the other six Big 12 teams in a double elimination tournament.

Missouri is seeded third, while Baylor is seeded fourth and Oklahoma fifth.

Tickets to the Big 12 Tournament may be purchased by calling the Oklahoma City All-Sports Association at (405) 236-5000. ASA Hall of Fame Stadium is also the site of the Women's College World Series, May 27-31.

The 64-team NCAA field will be announced on Sunday, May 16, between 7 and 8 p.m. (CDT) on ESPNEWS. Eight schools--Arizona, UCLA, Florida State, Georgia, Nebraska, Baylor, Michigan and Stanford--will play host to regional action May 20-23.
