After an eight-day break for final exams, the No. 9 Texas A&M baseball team will return to action this Tuesday, when they host Texas-San Antonio. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at Olsen Field.
The Aggies enter the game with an overall record of 35-14 and improved to 11-9 in Big 12 play after winning two of three games from Nebraska. Coby Mavroulis hit a three-run homer in the top of the ninth to earn A&M a 7-6 victory in the series finale.
The Roadrunners, also coming off an eight-day layoff, are 24-25 overall and 10-11 in Southland Conference play. UTSA's dropped two of three games to Louisiana-Monroe in its last outing two weekends ago.
Zach Jackson will get the nod on the mound for the Aggies. The junior left-hander enters the game with a record of 9-3 and a 3.43 ERA.
UTSA will counter with freshman right-hander Steven Vasquez, who has a 4-3 record and an ERA of 5.63.
Earlier this season, Texas A&M defeated UTSA 11-1 in seven innings at Olsen Field.
The Aggies hold the all-time advantage over the Roadrunners, 11-7.
