The No. 23 Texas A&M softball team (31-18, 13-3) begins play in the ninth Big 12 Softball Tournament in Oklahoma City on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium. The No. 2-seed Aggies will take on the winner of the play-in game between No.7-seed Kansas and No. 10-seed Texas Tech.
After ending the regular season half a game behind league champion Nebraska, the Aggies enter the tournament with their highest seed in school history. The rest of the seeding breaks down with No. 1 Nebraska, No. 3 Missouri, No. 4 Baylor, No. 5 Oklahoma, No. 6 Oklahoma State, No. 7 Kansas, No. 8 Texas, No. 9 Iowa State and No. 10 Texas Tech.
The Jayhawks and Red Raiders play in one play-in game on Wednesday while Texas and Iowa State will play in the other for the right to take on Nebraska. The tournament will
