I can't believe it is already time for the Big 12 Tournament! It seems like the season just started not too long ago. But, believe it or not, we are leaving for Oklahoma City today at noon. For us the tournament is a second chance at being the best in conference, so you better believe it will be all business!
We should arrive tonight around 6 o'clock, hopefully a little earlier though because we have a 6 p.m. practice time. We are playing on new fields this year, so we have to go get comfortable. Then tomorrow at noon we have our Big 12 Banquet, which is always a pretty neat deal. First and second teams all-conference are awarded as well as Big 12 Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year. After that it's off to the ball park to play our first game.
We play the winner of the 5 o'clock game, which is between Kansas and Texas Tech, at 7:30 on Wednesday night. If we stick to our plan, which is winning of course, we should only play one game a day. It should be a great tournament!!
If you want to follow us throughout the tournament, Matt and Stephen will be doing live stats and audio each game. Also, if we stay in the winner's bracket two of our games will be shown on television. Our Friday night game and Saturday game will be shown on FOX Sports Net. Kind of cool huh!
Anyway, listen or watch this weekend and see or hear us BEAT THE HELL OUTTA EVERYBODY!!
