Texas A&M senior David Tasker has been named to the PING All-Region golf team for the second straight year, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Thursday.
Tasker leads the team with a 73.29 stroke average going into next week's NCAA Championships, the best by an Aggie since All-American Anthony Rodriguez in 1994-95 (72.1). Tasker has posted seven top-20 and four top-10 finishes and has finished in the top 15 in five of eight spring tournaments. His 54-hole score of 70-67-70=207 at the Burns Intercollegiate in February ranks as the fifth-best in school history.
Tasker, a native of Willowvale, New South Wales, Australia, has posted a team-best 11 sub-par rounds this season and his 73.30 career stroke average is the best in school history.
