The Texas A&M baseball team will be competing in its 22nd NCAA Championship Tournament this weekend at Reckling Park on the campus of Rice University in Houston.
The Aggies (39-19), an at-large selection from the Big 12 Conference, will face Lamar (41-14), the Southland Conference champs, in first-round action. Texas A&M and Lamar will play the second game on Friday at 7 p.m.
Rice (43-12), the national sixth seed and defending National Champions, will play Texas Southern (18-33) at 3 p.m.
The regional winner will advance to play the winner of the Baton Rouge regional.
