Texas A&M junior shortstop Cliff Pennington and junior pitcher Robert Ray swept player and pitcher of the week honors in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the week of July 8.

Through all games played as of July 18, Pennington (Corpus Christi, Texas) is hitting a team-leading .314 for the Falmouth Commodores. He has six doubles a triple, a home run and 10 RBI. The switch-hitting All-Big 12 Conference selection has swiped 14 bases and scored 14 runs.
Ray (Lufkin, Texas) has been dominant on the mound and has not allowed an earned run in 18.0 innings of work. He has nine appearances ? all out of the bullpen ? and has fanned 35 batters and allowed just eight hits and six walks.
