The Texas A&M volleyball team will open the season this week with the McDonald's/Texas A&M Invitational at G. Rollie White Coliseum.
The Aggies open on Thursday at 7 p.m. against Bethune-Cookman, play matches against Georgia Southern and McNeese State Friday afternoon, and close the tournament on Saturday night against No. 3 UCLA.
Head coach Laurie Corbelli welcomes back three starters and six others from last year's team that advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16. Corbelli, who enters her 12th season at the helm in Aggieland, also brings in a talented group of five newcomers.
The seven-team tournament opens Thursday with two matches. Seven matches will be played on Friday and five more on Saturday. Participating in the McDonald's/Texas A&M Invitational will be Bethune-Cookman, Georgia Southern, McNeese State, Samford, Southern Miss, UCLA and the Aggies.
