No. 15 Texas A&M set a school record for fewest points allowed as the Aggies easily disposed of McNeese State, 30-14, 30-17, 30-15, at the McDonald's/Texas A&M Invitational at G. Rollie White Coliseum.

The Aggies pounded 55 kills, hitting .449 for the match, while holding the Cowgirls to only 19 kills and a -.020 hitting percentage. A&M junior outside hitter Laura Jones (Arlington, Texas) nearly single-handedly equaled McNeese's team kill total, taking match high honors for kills with 16. She tied for match-high honors for digs with 11 and also added a match-high four aces in the thrashing.

Aggie senior middle blocker Melissa Munsch (Columbus, Texas) added 12 kills while hitting at a career-high .733 clip. She tied Jones with 11 digs and led all players with nine blocks as A&M outblocked McNeese, 11-4.

Junior middle blocker Kendra Felder (Corpus Christi, Texas) also reached double digits in kills for A&M with 10 and hit .412 for the match.

Trisha Seale led the Cowgirls with six kills as McNeese suffered its first loss of the season to fall to 2-1.

The Aggies (2-0) conclude the tournament with a showdown against No. 3 UCLA Saturday at 7 p.m. at G. Rollie White Coliseum. Two-time USA Volleyball Olympian Stacy Sykora will be honored prior to the match and will be available for autographs immediately following the contest.
