It feels so good to be back!
First off I want to so that I am exited to get to do the diary again this year. I had a blast doing it last year and I am hoping this year will be even better!
Now to the good stuff: I think I should tell you that I am FIRED UP about this season!! Our team has so much talent, and even better, depth! It is going to be a great year!! Since I am going to be continuously talking about my teammates throughout the year, I think you should get to know the Fighting Texas Aggie Softball Team.
The seniors are: Nicole Robinson (catcher), Morgan Hebert (3rd), Jana James (outfield), and me (shortstop).
Juniors: Lindsay Park (1st) and Rocky Spencer (outfield).
Sophomores: Sharonda McDonald (outfield), Joy Davis (2nd/UT), Laura Durham (3rd/UT), Lisa Gorzycki (outfield), Christina Smith (pitcher) and Jill Weynand (pitcher).
Newcomer/Freshman: Beverly Rowan (transfer from Univ. of Texas @ Arlington), Megan Gibson (Spring, TX), Jamie Hinshaw (Missouri City, TX), Amanda Scarborough (Magnolia, TX), and Jami Lobpries (Wharton, TX).
And there we are!!
Not much has been going on so far. We are all trying to get things situated and find a routine. Last week was our welcome back test week, which basically shows everyone what you did over the summer. I will say for the most part it went really well!
This week we started our individual sessions. These are one hour sessions that allow us to get to work on and improve on our fundamental skills. It also helps us find a routine before we go right into to full-out practices.
Next week we get to start our full team practices! Whoop!! It going to be another exciting year! I can't wait!!
