The No. 24-ranked Texas A&M men's golf team opens its fall schedule at the Notre Dame Invitationa/Central Regional Preview Friday through Sunday at two courses.

Friday's round will be played at Lost Dunes Golf Club (par 71, 6,905 yards) in nearby Bridgman, Mich., and the final two rounds will be played at Notre Dame's Warren Golf Course (par 71, 7,011 yards). The tournament will consist of 18 holes each day for a total of 54 holes.

In addition to A&M, the 15-team field includes Arkansas, Colorado, Indiana, Iowa State, Kent State, Michigan State, Missouri, Northwestern, Notre Dame, SMU, Texas Tech, Toledo, Tulsa aned Xavier.

Representing the Aggies will be true freshmen Martin Piller and Bobby Gates, and juniors Andrew Parr, Jerad Harklau and Rand Arbuckle. Redshirt freshman Trey Todd will play as an individual.

"We're excited about getting started," said head coach J.T. Higgins, who enters his fourth season at A&M. "We've got some good young talent coming in and some experienced veterans. We're anxious to get going and see how we do."
