The Texas A&M women's golf team struggled to a final round 320 on Sunday and finished eighth at the Franklin Street Partners Invitational at Finley Golf Course.
The Aggies played the entire tournament without top scorer Nicole Melton, who became ill prior to the opening round on Friday.
Duke won the event with a 54-hole total of 865, followed by Auburn (874), Texas (893), North Carolina State (900), Wake Forest (900), North Carolina (930), South Carolina (933), A&M (308-308-320=936) and Florida State (937).

"Our players seemed to be trying and make up for their mistakes rather than just playing," A&M coach Jeanne Sutherland said. "This course was set up hard and woudn't allow them to make up for mistakes.I'm proud of the way Christa played. She was steady the whole tournament."
The Aggies return to action at the Lady Razorback Invitational Oct. 17-19 in Rogers, Ark.
