It's been a while since my last entry, so A LOT has happened. Things have been pretty hectic around here!

We started our team practices about three weeks ago. A normal day of practice goes something like this: the infield and outfield are divided and one works on defense while the other does their hitting in the cages. Once the hitters are finished, we switch and the other group that was on defense goes to the cages and the group that was hitting goes to defense. This helps each group work on the little things that doesn't involve the whole team. Basically it keeps us from not getting bored! Once everyone is done with their hitting, we come together and work on team defense stuff. This allows us to get comfortable with each other on the field, and it is usually pretty fun! Last, we do some live hitting. This is where we get to practice game-like situations as hitters, pitchers, and infield/outfielders. And that has basically been our lives for the last three weeks.

After three weeks of practice, I must say we are looking mighty strong! I get more excited about our team everyday!!

Last week we finally got some games under our belt. It's always exciting to play some different people and test our team to see where we actually are. So far things are going great and I get more fired-up each time we hit the field! We played our first games on Tuesday night against Northeast Texas Community College. We played really well and won both games, 11-0 and 8-0. Then on Saturday we played Sam Houston State. Sam definetly came to play and gave us a fight for both games. We were up to the challenge though, and matched each of their blows with blows of our own! In the end we won both games 4-2 and 3-2.

This week is going to be very full and very exciting! We have two games on Wednesday against Blinn, two games on Thursday against Temple, and then we head for Spring Klein on Saturday morning for our fall tournament. At Spring Klein we are scheduled to play three games on Saturday and two games on Sunday. Hopefully we will keep playing like we are now and finish on Sunday with 9 w's!!

I know it's just fall, but if you don't have any plans this week come out and watch some Aggie Softball!!

Till next time,
Adrian
