The Texas A&M basketball teams kicked off the 2004-05 season in a uniquely Aggie way late Friday night at "Maroon Madness," held outdoors in the parking lot of College Station's Northgate entertainment district.
The two squads were introduced to the large crowd and then provided those in attendance with several contests and games to close out the evening.
The A&M men, under first-year head coach Billy Gillispie, return six lettermen and two starters from last year, including two-time All-Big 12 pick Antoine Wright. The women's team, led by second-year head coach Gary Blair, also returns two starters and six letterwinners, led by junior Tamea Scales.
Aggie basketball season tickets are on sale now at www.12thmanfoundation.com, while single-game tickets go on sale Oct. 23.
