Current Texas A&M students who have an interest in walking on to the Aggie football team must first attend a 12th Man meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 4 p.m. in the Hagner Auditorium located in the lobby of the Bright Football Complex.
"With the pace of our football practices, we need a lot of walkon players," Aggie Head Football Coach Dennis Franchione said. "Every player, whether he is a scholarship or non-scholarship player, is part of our team. We took 133 players to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl activities and opportunities are in place to contribute to our team's success. We've had several walkons such as Ty Branyon, Blake Kendrick and Marques Thornton who have earned scholarships after walking on."
Students must be enrolled in at least 12 hours and be in good academic standing with Texas A&M University. Any further questions can be answered by calling Mark Robinson at 979-458-2185. You must attend this meeting to be eligible to tryout later in the spring.
