Texas A&M righthander Amanda Scarborough was named the Co-Big 12 Softball Pitcher of the Week for her performance in her collegiate debut agasint North Texas last friday.
Scarborough, a freshman from Magnolia, Texas, provided a complete game seven strikeout no-hitter in the Aggies 8-0 win over the Mean Green. She was also 1-for-3 at the plate with a double in the game.
Scarborough shared the honor with Texas freshman hurler Meagan Denny.
The Aggies take the field again on Wednesday when they host UT-San Antonio in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. at the Aggie Softball Complex.
