Junior Andrew Parr tied the Texas A&M record with a seven-under-par 65 on Friday to lead the Aggies to an eighth-place finish at the John Burns Intercollegiate at Leilehua Golf Club.

Parr's effort helped the Aggies to their second straight round of 10-under-par 278, the best back-to-back rounds in school history and tied for the fourth best single rounds in school annals. After opening with a four-over 292, A&M finished with a 16-under-par 848 total, the third best 54-hole score in A&M history and the best since 1992. Parr tied for sixth place in the individual standings with a 10-under-par 75-66-65=206, the fourth best 54-hole score in Aggie annals and the best since former All-American Roy Mackenzie had a 206 total at the 1987 Southwest Conference Championships.
