The No. 11 Texas A&M softball team (16-2) will head to Huntsville to take on the Sam Houston State Bearkats (4-10) in a midweek match-up beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Bearkat Softball Complex.
The game was originally scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. but facility conflict at Sam Houston forced the time change.
"We are looking forward to getting back on the field," A&M head coach Jo Evans stated. "We had a good weekend in Palm Springs and we are excited to build on what we accomplished."
The Aggies are coming off a successful weekend that saw them go 4-1 in the competitive Palm Springs Classic. The Aggies opened the tournament with run-rule wins over Loyola Marymount (8-0) and No. 12 Washington (10-0) before defeating No. 1 Cal (5-2) and UNLV (4-0). The Aggies lone loss came in the final game against No. 23 Long Beach.
Sam Houston State enters the game with a 5-14 record after a 1-3 weekend at the Compass Bank Invitational in Waco.
Live stats for Wednesday's game will be available on AggieAthletics.com.
