The Texas A&M men's golf team will compete in the Seminole Intercollegiate Sunday through Tuesday at Golden Eagle Country Club.
The tournament will consist of 18 holes each day for a total of 54 holes on the par-72, 6,847-yard course.
In addition to A&M, the 12-team field includes host Florida State, Central Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, North Carolina State. Mississippi, Vanderbilt, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, East Tennessee State and North Florida.
A&M will be represented by juniors Jared Harklau and Andrew Parr, freshmen Trey Todd and Robert Gates, and senior David Schultz.
A&M opened the spring with a sixth-place finish at the PING Arizona Collegiate and an eighth-place showing at the 21-team John Burns Intercollegiate in Hawaii. A&M closed the Hawaii tournament with consecutive rounds of 10-under-par 278.
"We hope to build on the success of our final two rounds in Hawaii," Higgins said. "I believe that is more indicative of the way we are capable of playing and what we expect to see this week in Florida. This is the first time we have played in this event and no one on our team has seen this course. We will be facing a great field of teams which makes it even more important for us to come into the first round prepared, focused and determined to play our best."
