Representatives from every National Football League team were in attendance at Texas A&M's annual NFL Pro Day as 10 seniors from the 2004 Aggie football team strutted their stuff for the pro scouts at the Netum Steed Strength and Conditioning Laboratory on Tuesday.
Working out for the scouts were wide receivers Terrence Murphy and Terrence Thomas, offensive lineman Geoff Hangartner, defensive linemen Mike Montgomery and Marcus Jasmin, defensive backs Jont? Buhl, Byron Jones and Kevin Mangum and linebacker Keelan Jackson.
Among the NFL representatives in attendance were Tennessee Titans general manager Floyd Reese, five-time Super Bowl Champion "Mean" Joe Green of the Pittsburgh Steelers and former Texas A&M linebacker Todd Howard, who is an assistant defensive line coach with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Also in attendance were former A&M standouts Bethel Johnson and Ty Warren, who have won a pair of Super Bowl Championships with the New England Patriots in their two seasons in the NFL.
Texas A&M's all-time leading receiver Terrence Murphy was the clear standout at the Pro Day after posting marks of 41.5 inches in the vertical jump, 10 feet, eight inches in the standing broad jump, 3.93 seconds in the 5-10-5 shuttle and 6.98 in the "L" drill. Murphy, who finished his A&M with 172 catches for 2,600 yards, did not run a 40-yard dash.
