Texas A&M shortstop Adrian Gregory hit two home runs as the No. 10 Texas A&M softball team (24-2) defeated Michigan State (4-15-1), 7-0, at the FAU Parent's Weekend Tournament.

"This is a great way to start the tournament," A&M head coach Jo Evans commented. "We have been anxious to get back on the field and we showed we were ready to play today. Amanda (Scarborough) and Lisa (Gorzycki) were great in the circle and our hitters did a nice job adjusting at the plate and getting opportunistic hits."

Gregory was named the State Farm Player of the Game after a 2-for-3 performance including two home runs and three RBI.

Amanda Scarborough (Magnolia, Texas) improved to 12-0 on the season as she threw six shutout innings while recording eight strikeouts and allowing one hit.

Gorzycki (Bryan, Texas) threw a one-hit seventh to close out the game.

McDonald (Houston, Texas) manufactured the Aggies first run of the game when she singled in the first and stole second before taking two bases on a wild pitch.

Megan Gibson (Spring, Texas) made it 3-0 Aggies in the third with a double down the left field line scoring McDonald and Jamie Hinshaw (Missouri City, Texas).

In the third, Gregory (Livingston, Texas) made it 4-0 A&M when she took the 2-0 offering and drove it over the left field fence for her seventh home run of the season.

Gregory lifted the Aggies to a 6-0 lead in the fifth with her second homer of the day, a line drive to left field. After Rocky Spencer (Katy, Texas) doubled to left center, Lindsay Park (Arcadia, Calif.) made it a 7-0 lead with a single up the middle scoring Spencer.
