The No. 6 Texas A&M softball team (31-2) will take a break from Big 12 play as they take on Texas State (16-18) in a mid-week game beginning at 6 p.m. in San Marcos.
The Aggies, who are 50-90 all-time against the Bobcats, are riding a 15-game win streak and are off to their best start in school history while Texas State enters after splitting games with Southland Conference opponent UT-San Antonio.
"This will be a good non-conference game," commented A&M head coach Jo Evans. "We are playing really well right now and Texas State is always a tough team to play."
The Aggies swept through their conference openers last week with a win over No. 7 Baylor and a pair of wins over No. 18 Nebraska.
Live audio and stats of Wednesday's game will be available, free of charge, on AggieAthletics.com. Fans attending the games will be able to listen to the broadcast by tuning in to the low end of the FM dial.
