Texas A&M soccer player Emily DeWoody was named National Strength and Conditioning Association All-American in recognition of achievement in the development of improved athletic performance through total conditioning.

"Emily has a great work ethic and dedication in the weight room and always looks to do extra work to improve her speed and conditioning," commented strength and conditioning coach Paul Sealey. "Her hard work definitely paid off as she had a very successful season, starting most games and being a pivotal part of A&M's defense."

DeWoody, a junior defender from, Murphy, Texas, anchored the Aggie backline from the center back position and helped lead the Aggies to the Big 12 Regular Season and Tournament Championships as well as the program's 10th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
