The No. 6 Texas A&M softball team (32-2, 3-0) will travel to Lawrence to take on Kansas (15-11, 0-2) in a two-game series at the Jayhawk Field on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's game is slated for 2 p.m. with Sunday's first pitch set for noon.
The Aggies, who are off to their best start in school history, are riding a 16-game win streak, including 3-0 in Big 12 play, while Kansas is 0-2 in conference with losses to Texas and Nebraska.
The Aggies have won their last six games, including three last season, against the Jayhawks. A&M has swept the two-game series the last two seasons and notched a win over KU in the Big 12 Tournament last season. Their last loss to KU came in College Station on April 6, 2002, a 6-4 defeat.
The Aggies are coming off a 10-5 mid-week non-conference game against Texas State in San Marcos on Wednesday after starting conference off with a win over then-No. 7 Baylor and two wins over then-No. 18 Nebraska.
