The No. 6 Texas A&M softball team (34-3, 5-1 Big 12) will host Iowa State (12-20, 0-6) in a two-game series Saturday and Sunday at the Aggie Softball Complex. Saturday's first pitch is slated for 5 p.m. while Sunday's contest is scheduled to begin at noon.
The Aggies are currently second in the Big 12, behind Oklahoma, after a loss to No. 4 Texas in Austin on Wednesday. Iowa State enters the weekend 10th in conference play with an 0-6 record. The Cyclones were swept in a doubleheader at Missouri on Wednesday.
The Aggies are 22-4 all-time against Iowa State including going 11-1 in their last 12 meetings. Last season the Aggies swept the season series with two 3-0 wins over the Cyclones in Ames.
Following Saturday's game, fans will be invited to participate in an autograph session with the entire softball team. On Sunday, kids are invited to run the bases at the conclusion of the game.
Live audio and stats of both games will be available, free of charge, on AggieAthletics.com. Fans attending the games will be able to listen to the broadcast by tuning in to 89.9 FM on their radios.
