The No. 5 Texas A&M softball team (36-3, 7-1 Big 12) will host Oklahoma State (28-13, 3-4) in a doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. at the Aggie Softball Complex on Wednesday.
After a series sweep of Iowa State over the weekend, the Aggies sit 1/2 game out of first behind Oklahoma who is 8-1 in conference play. Oklahoma State is currently sixth in conference after splitting games at home against Kansas last weekend.
The Aggies are 27-19 all-time against Oklahoma State including going 4-1 in their last 5 meetings. Last season the Aggies took the only game between the two clubs. The mid-week doubleheader in Stillwater was shortened to one game due to poor weather conditions.
A Big 12 regular season record crowd of 1,855 fans showed up to watch the Aggies beat Iowa State on Saturday.
After being ranked in every poll this season, the Aggies moved into the top five in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 for the first time this season.
Live audio and stats of Wednesday's games will be available, free of charge, on AggieAthletics.com. Fans attending the games will be able to listen to the broadcast on 89.9 FM.
