The Texas A&M volleyball team concludes its spring schedule Saturday at the Rice University Spring Tournament.

The Aggies will play three matches at the one-day, round-robin tournament to be held at Autry Court in Houston. A&M opens against the Houston Cougars at 11 a.m. and takes on Sam Houston State at 2 p.m.

A&M concludes the tournament at 4 p.m. against Rice, which is coached by former Aggie standout and A&M assistant volleyball coach Genny (Wood) Volpe.

Matches will be two games to 30 points, and admission is free.

The Aggies are undefeated in spring matches, having won four two-game matches and splitting four others. Spring win-loss records are not official.

A&M coach Laurie Corbelli returns five starters from the 2004 squad that advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament and ranked No. 20 in the nation with a 19-9 record.

The Aggies open the fall season Sept. 2-3 by hosting the McDonald's/Texas A&M Invitational at G. Rollie White Coliseum. The tournament schedule will be announced as soon as details are finalized.
