The No. 5 Texas A&M softball team will head to Norman to take on No. 5 Oklahoma in a critical two-game series that will go a long way towards deciding the race for the Big 12 Regular Season title. The Aggies and Sooners will face off at the OU Softball Complex on Saturday at 3 p.m. before closing out the series on Sunday at noon.

Texas A&M, 36-3 overall and 9-1 in Big 12 play, currently holds a 1/2 game lead on the Sooners who are 40-7 and 8-1.

The Aggies are ranked No. 5 and the Sooners No. 6 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 while the Sooners hold the fifth spot and the Aggies the seventh in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25.

The Aggies are 13-28 all time against Oklahoma after sweeping the then No. 9 Sooners in College Station to open conference play last season.

The Aggies enter the series with a four-game conference win streak with recent sweeps of Iowa State and Oklahoma State. The Aggies took two from the Cowgirls, allowing them to jump the Sooners for first place in the conference, in a Wednesday night doubleheader. Oklahoma enters the series after splitting with Texas in Austin last weekend and taking a doubleheader from Texas Tech on Monday.

Live audio and stats of the weekend's games will be available, free of charge, on AggieAthletics.com. Fans attending the games will be able to listen live to the broadcast by tuning in to the low end of the FM dial.
