Host Texas A&M carded rounds of 302-294=596 on Saturday and is in eighth place at the inaugural Aggie Invitational at Traditions Golf Club.
The final round is scheduled for Sunday with play beginning at 8 a.m. Admission is free.
Top-ranked Oklahoma State and No. 5 New Mexico are tied for the lead with four-over-par totals of 580. SMU is in third at 582, followed by Texas Tech (585), No. 17 Texas (591), No. 21 Michigan State (594), Oklahoma (595), Texas A&M "A" (596), Baylor (597), Kent State (597), Northwestern (597), Ohio State (599), Texas A&M "B" (601) and Notre Dame (622).
New Mexico's Spencer Levin, the nation's No. 2-ranked collegian by Golfweek, blistered the course with an eight-under-par total of 67-69=136 and leads Texas' Jeff Bell (72-68=140) in the individual standings by four strokes.
Junior Andrew Parr led the A&M "A" team with a 74-71=145 total and is tied for 12th, while freshman Martin Piller is tied for 18th (73-74=147), junior Jerad Harklau is tied for 48th (77-76=153) and freshmen Robert Gates (84-73=157) and Chris Thompson (78-79=157) are tied for 64th.
For the A&M "B" team, senior David Schultz is tied for 18th (71-76=147), freshman Matt Van Zandt is tied for 28th (77-73=150), freshman Trey Todd is tied for 48th (75-78=153), junior Rand Arbuckle is tied for 55th (73-81=154) and freshman Brandon Burgoon is tied for 59th (75-80=155).
