Texas A&M softball fans in the Bryan/College Station area will be able to listen to all of the Aggies' postseason games on Sports Radio 1150 "The Zone."
The broadcasts will debut May 11 from ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City as A&M opens play in the Big 12 Conference Tournament and will run through the remainder of the season, including all NCAA Tournament games. The Big 12 Tournament runs through May 14 with NCAA Regionals beginning at 16 on-campus sites on May 20. Coverage of all contests will begin 15 minutes prior to first pitch.
"This is a great opportunity for our program and our fans," commented A&M head coach Jo Evans. "We have had a fantastic following this year and now our fans will be able to follow our games at home and on the road throughout the Big 12 Tournament and NCAA's. I am excited that "The Zone" has chosen to broadcast our games and give our fans and the community a chance to support us in the postseason."
This season's postseason broadcasts will mark the second time in as many seasons that "The Zone" has carried Aggie softball over-the-air to the Bryan/College Station market. Last year, Sports Radio 1150 aired A&M's regular-season finale at Nebraska.
As always, broadcasts will also be available worldwide over the internet at AggieAthletics.com and inside the stadium both home and away on the low end of the FM dial.
The Texas A&M softball team sits atop the Big 12 standings at 39-4 and sports a No. 5 national ranking. The Aggies return to action this weekend when they host Texas Tech at the Aggie Softball Complex before wrapping up the three-game homestand on Wednesday, April 27 against No. 4 Texas in a game that will be televised nationally by ESPN2.
