The No. 5 Texas A&M softball team (39-4, 10-2) will play host to Texas Tech (22-19, 2-10) in a two-game series at the Aggie Softball Complex on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. with Sunday's first pitch set for noon.

"This will be another tough series," commented A&M head coach Jo Evans. "Texas Tech has a new coach and she has the team playing extremely hard and competing in every game."

The Aggies, who are 14-9 all time against the Red Raiders, are in first place in the Big 12 with six games remaining. Texas Tech is currently in ninth place having dropped their last eight conference games.

A&M is coming off a split of No. 5 Oklahoma in Norman with a 4-1 win on Sunday that pushed them back into the top spot in the conference. The Aggies will also be well rested as they did not have a mid-week game on Wednesday.

Live audio and stats of this weekend's games will be available, free of charge, on AggieAthletics.com. Fans attending the games will be able to listen to the broadcast by tuning in to the low end of the FM dial.
