I sure wish the person who said, "All great things must come to an end," would have kept his or her big mouth closed! I guess as much as I hate to say it, he/she was right. All great things do come to an end and sadly that includes college softball seasons.
Our 2005 softball season came to an abrupt end last Saturday evening. We fought to the bitter end but still came up short with the final score being 6-5 Alabama. Even though our season did not end how we wanted it to, it was an amazing, AMAZING, year!! We won Texas A&M's first ever Big 12 Championship, recorded A&M's highest national ranking in a long time (5th), broke many statistical records, had incredible crowd support, and became closer friends than any of us could have ever imagined. In my eyes, it just doesn't get better than that!
As you know, this was my senior season so this entry will conclude my player diary. If you don't mind, I have a few things I want to say. First, I want to thank my family for their unwavering support over the years. You guys have made this opportunity possible for me and I am truly grateful! I also want to thank my Aggie softball family. I could not have been blessed with greater people to spend my life with! You guys are awesome!
Last, but surely not least, I want to thank the many Aggie fans and followers. You have made this year and incredible experience for all of us. You have made a lasting impression that none of us will ever forget. Thank you!!
My Aggie career has surely been a great one! I am walking away with amazing friendships and many incredible experiences and memories. God truly blessed me when He sent me to Aggieland!!
I wish nothing but the best for each and every one of you!!
Thanks, Gig 'Em, and God Bless,
Adrian
