Incoming Texas A&M junior Antanas Kavaliauskas scored nine points with five rebounds on Sunday to help Lithuania to a 65-63 victory against Greece in the gold medal game of the FIBA Under 21 World Championship.

Kavaliauskas, who transfers to A&M from Barton County (Kan.) Community College, had four key offensive rebounds in the victory.

Kavaliauskas, a 6-10 center, helped Lithuania to a 3-1 record at the Global Games in Dallas in late July. The Lithuanians lone defeat was by a 91-86 count to Team USA, a squad that included Oklahoma's Taj Gray, Wake Forest's Justin Gray and Duke's J.J. Redick.

Kavaliauskas scored 22 points with seven rebounds in the bronze medal game, a 107-79 victory against a Global Games Select team that included Baylor's Henry Dugat and Kevin Rogers and Arizona's Marcus Williams.
