Texas A&M sophomore center Chris Yoder has been named to the 2005 Rimington Trophy Watch List, the Boomer Esiason Foundation and The Sports Group announced this week.

Yoder, from Kingwood, Texas, was a 2004 First Team Freshman All-American by Rivals.com and a member of the Freshman All-Big 12 Team by The Sporting News last season as a freshman starter. He is one of four Big 12 Conference players named to the Rimington watch list.

Yoder started all 12 games for the Aggies at center last season as the team reached the SBC Cotton Bowl on New Year's Day. He helped the Aggies average 428.4 yards of total offense per game. The team averaged 6.3 yards per play, which was the second highest per play gain in school history.

The Rimington Trophy recipient is determined by a consensus of the four All-America teams' top center: The Walter Camp Football Foundation, America Football Coaches Association, Football Writers Association of America, and The Sporting News.

Other Big 12 players on the Rimington watch list are Colorado's Mark Fenton, Nebraska's Kurt Mann, and Missouri's Adam Spieker.
