Howdy!!
I am thrilled to be able to write this season's volleyball player diary and even more excited that volleyball season has finally started!
We started our season on Friday against Prairie View A&M and won in three games. The next night we played the University of Texas-Arlington and we won in three games as well. It was great being able to finally compete against other teams and begin what we hope will be a very memorable 2005 Aggie Volleyball season. One major thing that really helped us this weekend was the great support from the 12th Man. It is always exciting playing in the great atmosphere of G. Rollie White and this weekend was extra special with the number of students that came out to support us. Thank you and we hope that you will all continue to come cheer us on!
It was really fun being able to put all of hard work during two-a-days to use in our competitions this weekend. We had a really productive preseason and got to spend a lot of time with each other. Our new freshmen have been really great both on and off the court. Two-a-days gave us a great opportunity to spend some time with them and get to know them before our season started. They have really opened themselves up to all of us and are always making everyone laugh!
This week will be a busy week for all of us because classes start this Monday and we begin preparing for our McDonald's/Texas A&M Invitational Tournament on Friday and Saturday. We are all excited about starting the school year and getting ready for another exciting weekend of volleyball! We hope that you will all come out this weekend and watch us play some great volleyball against some exciting teams like Saint Mary's, Lehigh, and Virginia! Hope to see you all Friday night!!
