Howdy!!
Well, first of all, I want to thank all of you who came out and supported us this weekend at our McDonald's/Texas A&M Invitational tournament. It was so nice to have all of your support and encouragement to help us win the tournament championship. I would like to give a very special thanks to our "substitute" yell leaders who came to all of our games this weekend while the yell leaders were out of town for the football game. It really does help us so much to have a great crowd there to give us a great home court advantage!!
This weekend went really well and we played some great teams. On Friday night we played Saint Mary's and won in three games. We really had a strong game and got into a good rhythm early on in the match. Then on Saturday we played Lehigh and Virginia to finish up the tournament. We won both matches and clinched the tournament championship. It was a really good tournament to help us get some matches under our belt and help us continue to get our team ready for an important few weeks. Our team is doing a really great job of getting used to playing in matches and getting in the routine of competing. It is really nice to have everyone on our team so ready to battle another team and work together to get a win.
This upcoming week we play four matches on the road. It will be really good for us to get some experience on the road and prepare us for our conference away games. On Tuesday we play at Sam Houston State and then this weekend we play in San Antonio against Southern California, Florida and LSU. It will be a very good tournament and a great way to compete against some of the best teams in the country. We would love to have some of you there in San Antonio to support us when we play these strong teams!!
