Jerry F. Holditch '79, vice president-geology and co-founder of Laredo Energy, recently stepped forward in a major way, making a $50,000 donation to Aggie Soccer.

"Jerry Holditch is a great supporter of Texas A&M Athletics. His $50,000 gift to the soccer program will also go a long, long way in helping us with much needed upgrades at the Aggie Soccer Stadium," commented head soccer coach G. Guerrieri. "His support is a shining example to other Aggies of how their financial support is helping build champions."

Holditch holds a BS in Geology from Texas A&M. He and his wife Cindy have two children, daughter Kendall, is the goalie for her soccer team, and son Harrison. Both children attend Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball.

"We give for the young men and women that attend A&M," said Holditch. "My daughter plays volleyball, soccer and softball. We have seen how these ladies are wonderful athletes, but usually under funded at all levels."

Prior to assisting with the formation of Laredo Energy in 2001, Holditch was the vice president of exploration and a director of Michael Petroleum Corporation. He's also held positions within TransTexas Gas Corp. and Gulf Oil Corporation.
