After spending the weekend in Michigan facing the Spartans and Wolverines, the No. 14 Texas A&M soccer team returns to action Friday night when they take on the Pirates of East Carolina at 7:00 p.m. at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.
The Aggies enter Friday's match 2-1-1 on the season, the loss and tie having both come on the road this weekend in the Big 12/Big 10 Soccer Challenge.
This will be the first meeting between A&M and East Carolina. The Pirates (1-3-0) notched their first victory of the season Sunday over Western Carolina, 2-0. Seniors Melissa Penney and Meghan McCallion lead the Pirates in scoring this season with two goals apiece.
Sophomore forward Ashlee Pistorius leads A&M in scoring with four goals; not far behind is last week's Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, Melissa Garey who's found the back of the net three times this season.
Fan's attending the match will receive a Wells Fargo schedule poster which can be autographed by the soccer team at the conclusion of the game.
