Nearly 100 eighth graders from Hearne Independent School District will have the opportunity to hold a question and answer session with members of the 14th ranked Aggie soccer team at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Aggie Soccer Stadium.
"This sounds like a neat field trip," commented A&M head coach G. Guerrieri. "Everyone involved with the soccer program is always excited to be able to positively impact a child's educational experience."
The children will arrive at A&M in the morning and visit other campus departments before coming to the soccer stadium after lunch. Once at the field the group will be broken down into smaller segments, allowing the students and Aggie athletes to focus more on individual questions; providing the students an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the time and commitment involved in being a Division I college athlete.
